There is more to photography than knowing how to use a camera.
Maybe you love being outdoors and have always felt there is a creative part of you that you haven't really explored. Or maybe you already know your camera really well, but somehow the photographs you make don't quite capture what you felt when you were actually there. At some point, learning more settings, buying more gear or simply travelling to beautiful places isn't enough. You want to slow down, experience nature, become better at seeing and make photographs that actually mean something to you.
This is where The Wild Artist comes in
Through Wildlife & Nature Workshops, Expeditions and Artistic Mentorship, I bring together the things I love the most: art, photography, wildlife and spending time outdoors. We will obviously talk about cameras and photography, but I also want to help you understand how artists see things like light, color, composition, atmosphere and storytelling. Through my Public Speaking & Talks, I share some of these same ideas, along with stories and lessons I have picked up through my own journey as an artist and photographer.
There are a few different ways to be part of this.
Workshops— Learn and grow in a small, supportive environment.
Expeditions — Immerse yourself in wildlife, nature and photography.
Speaking — Invite me to speak at your event or organization.
About — Learn a little more about me and my journey.
If any of this sounds like what you have been looking for, check out the experiences I offer and see what feels right for you.
ABOUT ME
I have been drawing, painting and making art for as long as I can remember. I eventually went on to study art seriously, earning my MFA and building a career as a professional artist. But photography became something very special to me because it brought together two things I deeply love; making art and being outdoors.
